Linn County is a fantastic destination to hunt big whitetails and long beards in Southeast Kansas. This lease features lots of mature timber dominated by lots of oaks. Big Sugar Creek winds through the timber and will provide for constant water and travel corridors for the big boys. I must say that I see a lot of great hunting properties with my job and this lease is one of the best. With the acres of continuous timber all around there is no wonder this area produces some giants. There are also heavy deer trails that were noted along with numerous rubs and scrapes on my visit. I entered this property from the dead end (Ingraham Ln) on the east side, what a drive! I parked in a perfect spot to access all of the east side and as I topped the grass field at about 1:00 pm I had several deer walking the timberline. As I dropped over the edge of the hilltop to enter the fields at the bottom I noted lots of stand/ blind location. This is a must see property for the serious trophy hunter.
