A SOUTHEAST KANSAS CRAWFORD CO GEM WITH PLENTY OF DEER AND TURKEY!
This lease offers super access located in Crawford County Kansas, Deer Management UNIT 11. It is about as far southeast as you can get. This property is a new one for us and it shouldn’t disappoint with Creek, Crop and Cover it has all you need.
The property comes in three near by parcels the best one in my opinion is just southeast of the small town of Walnut, Kansas. The next property is just ¼ mile east and then to the northeast a couple miles is a larger tract with mostly crop ground and some pasture but could be a good spot to keep an eye on due to its surroundings.
The creek zigzags through the mature native hardwoods with mostly good rock bottoms and a couple deep spots here and there. It was a joy to walk this property with the turkey running ahead and some whitetails waging; I knew this was going to be a good one. The deer trails run up the high creek banks in all directions and it wasn’t hard to loose your sense of direction in the heavy timber.
A couple small fields will work well for some midday feedings or for a great stop to set up a couple turkey decoys. There are more than enough blind and stand locations on this property and the old abandoned railroad going through the lease looks to make a good travel corridor.
