The timber and CRP lay at the tail end of a massive draw that funnels the deer out into the large crop fields. The timbered fingers are all surrounded by CRP grasses.(The CRP will be mowed once a year around August 1st). There is some clever in these grasses and it is essentially several big food plots and bedding area. Lots of beds were found in the CRP while touring.
Bucks have traditionally used this draw heavily during the rut and the signs shows major activity coming out into the CRP grasses that surround the crop fields on this lease. The way the ground lays, the deer can come out and load in the CRP before going to the crop fields without being visible. There is enough topography here to keep them hidden.
This lease is for all legal game. Lessees must follow Illinois game laws. The term of the lease is 1 year unless the auction ends after August 31st. In that event, the lease will expire on August 31st the following year.
