Great Western Kansas Hunting!!!
This is a great bird lease with several different properties that you will be able to spend a weekend hunting!! They all have great native grass draws or whole native grass fields. There is feed surrounding most of them. Food and cover are the magic ingredients for great hunts!!
As an added bonus, there was a group of turkeys in one of the hay meadows. They were feeding and most definitely are nesting in the native grass.
It only gets better! There was great deer sign on the properties also. A small group of trees looks to be a regular haunt for some bucks. There were numerous rubs and the area was full of scrapes. There is a couple trees that could hold a stand or a strong cedar to tuck a ground blind in. It might take some patience but there is definitely a chance to harvest a deer here.
The property north of I-70 is in deer hunting unit 1. The property to the south of I-70 is in deer hunting unit 2. If you do decide to try and deer hunt and put in for tags, make sure one of those is your primary and the other is you adjoining unit.
The property to the south of I-70 was in corn. The draw sits in the middle of the property away from all roads and very secluded as it drops down and is somewhat hidden. There is a major game trail running down through the draw and across the road and into the other southern most property, which was also corn. Another property that at first glance doesn't look like a deer hunting property but there is a good chance that they are feeding and using the draws as travel corridors.
Great bird hunting lease with some great possibilities for other hunting as well.
ATV's allowed for hunting purposes only, no trail riding. Avoid damaging the fence on the property. Respect to crops and crop ground is a must!
Cattle do graze on the property.
$2 million hunting liability insurance included with lease (outfitters must carry additional insurance).
