640 ACRES - 2 TRACTS IN CHASE COUNTY, KS GREAT WATERFOWL, WHITETAIL AND TURKEY HUNTING!!!
Starting with the 156-acre tract North of Highway 50 near Toledo KS. This property is set perfectly in the middle of some very good deer habitat. Buckeye Creek meanders throughout the property giving you a constant water source during the drought we have experienced in Kansas lately. It was mostly planted in soybeans and wheat at the time of my visit with some hay and native grass in the SW corner.
It has easy access and lots stand-blind locations. There is a really nice pinch point in the middle of the property with a lot of deer sign. I call it the horseshoe; it makes a nice pocket. I jumped several deer as I walked in this area, you could tell they don’t get bothered much in there.
Now to the tract next to Strong City, Kansas, this tract is mostly segmented crop ground with a nice tree line on the East of the property leading to a group of trees next to the Cottonwood River. There was good deer sign and a lot of ducks flying the river. In the south center of the property, there is a low drainage area that was loaded with geese and other waterfowl. I would call this the honey hole setting next to the Cottonwood River.
